The most important thing you should know, is that professional massage is not sexual. Massage therapy is a healing modality.

When you arrive for your massage, we will ask you to provide information about your body via the intake form. If you have any conditions, please alert your therapist. Massage is rarely contraindicated for condition, but it is imperative that you disclose all medical conditions. As massage therapists, we are highly trained in body function.  If you don’t reveal a condition, it is possible massage therapy could harm you..

Once we review your history, we will discuss your treatment. We will ask you what you expect from your massage. For optimal health benefits it is recommended that you get a minimum of 60 minute full body massage. We also offer 90 and 120 minute massages. Upon request, we can massage only specified areas of your body that need extra work.

Once we determine a treatment plan, we will bring you into the massage room. Your therapist will leave the room, you can disrobe and get under the sheets on the massage table. You should disrobe to your level of comfort. For the optimal massage, full disrobing is best. During the massage, you will always be draped securely. The table is heated and blankets placed on you to your comfort. There will be soothing music in the room.

During the massage, your therapist will undrape different parts of your body as they are massaging your muscles. Never- will private parts of your body be undraped. At some point, your therapist will ask you to turn over so the other side of your body can be massaged. Your therapist will prepare the table for this, then will hold the sheets over you as you turn over.

Some people experience emotional releases during a massage. It is not unusual, as trauma and negativity can store in your tissues. During a massage, should you experience such a release, know it is not unusual. Your therapist will ask you if you would like for them to leave or stay. How we proceed will be in your hands. Our goal is to facilitate healing, and allow clients to heal in the way best for each individual.

Why do we find it important to tell you all of this? We do not want anyone to miss out on the wonderful benefits of massage because they are afraid of what they don’t know. We would be honored if you would trust us to give you a great massage. You will not be disappointed!
